Hi all,
First post so be gentle!
I have a Leica Leitz Summicron 90 - the 3 cam pre ASPH version with the built in lens hood.
Inside the hood a ring has come loose in the outermost section. I can't tell whether it should go in the lip of the very outside edge (where I guess it would be part of the filter attaching mechanism?), although it seems a bit too small a diameter; or whether it goes between the final 2 extending parts of the hood?
Sounds complicated but if you've got one you'll know what I mean!
I can't seem to get it to screw into either position.
Do I need to take it into a camera repair shop (not exactly many local here in rural Normandy!), or is it something I can do myself?
If someone can guide me, I'd be very grateful.

Is that a hood of the telescopic type?
(I mean composed of 2-3 parts that fold like a telescope)
