How about auction choice in this wonderful forum. I think it will be great, instead of *bay
Just a thought

Just say it is an auction and specify an end date in the description.

It may be in the forum, they write the ammount in your pv and you post the maximum bid... something like ebay.

Auction is use less if not enough buyers, I did also think about it my conclusion was this. Simplest solution right, put into description you wait for offers and higher amounts will win you can also keep up to date in description. To develop an auction feature is quiet costly and if not enough popular pretty use less wasted time and money.

I think that the "recipe" to sell here is simple:

1) make realistic prices (which means not try to make a big profit). I saw some people here sell lenses for 100 or 200 Eur more than the average Ebay prices. Maybe once in a while you can find a buyer, but in the long run, you will not sell. And what is worse, you will leave the impression that you are here to cheat on the members.

2) make honest descriptions. If there is a fault, describe it. It's better if the lens is slightly better than what is described, than the other way around. because it is better to have an happier customer later, than an angry customer. The happy customer will leave a happy feedback, which will increase your credibility in the community, and, a happy customer for one lens is likely to come back for another lens.

3) do not make too low prices compared to average. Unless you are forced by necessity, try not to put a too low price either. Too low prices damage the other sellers, and worse than this, they lower the reputation of the used lenses also - and they lower the value of your investments too! Méson te kai áriston, In medio stat virtus, ancient Greeks and Latins knew that, and they did not do bad.
