Has any one tried the above? I really like what I see of this film and flickr
has an APX film group. A friend from another forum is sending me a few
rolls to try, will post any worthwhile results. German made, has to be good. |

I love that film, it used to be my favourite B&W film
(like all Agfa film I have to say - I still have to find a colour film that is half as good as Agfa Optima was)
Unfortunately now Agfa is dead and they are all discontinued _________________ Orio, Administrator

I don't know where the Brits are getting it, but on Purelight Forum, they are
advertising a new batch of APX100 with expo of 2013. The company they
are linking tho, wants 100 quid minimum order if you don't reside in
Brittania. shee-yott
Freestyle sells the Rollei Retro 80, not 100 ISO, but am thinking of ordering
a few rolls of it as well. |

what developer would be best for this? I already have TMAX developer

Hi here
It is a very good film, very good tonal range and contrast, i like it much, but i prefer Foma still, more contrasty.
As a developer i recommand Rodinal with a minimal dilution : 1+25. _________________ Happy owner and user of :

APX 100 is my most used 135 film, mostly because it's the cheapest locally available B&W film. But it's a nice film with a “vintage” feel, which I like very much. Perhaps not the sharpest, though, if you care about such things. (Personally I'll just shoot full frame digital if I want top resolution out of small format.)
Example of the lovely tones from this film:
Some of my other APX 100 photos can be found on flickr. |

Arkku, really like the 'Spaceport' shot and the look of the film, all round. |

APX 100 and 400 were my faves for many years. Used to develop in Acufine and T-max developer. Great stuff.
Now I'm into Acros and (formerly) Neopan in 120 developed in Xtol 1:1. Great combo.
