Hmmm . . . I'm gonna have to try some of that Foma 100. Nice, rich tonal range. The adjectives "smooth" and "warm" keep floating up to the surface as well. I like it.

Thanx all. Well Foma as you know is one of my fav films and suits well the Rodinal developer.

About the Nikon and the lens : a hell of a camera, really. I was afraid that the lens might be too "slow" as it's only f2 max aperture but i am impressed.

Crisp clear shots with excellent tones! You guys across the pond must be
sitting on a cache of Rodent-All, the only ones available are the me-too
Fomadon (Foma)and Adonal (Adox). The Adonal is supposed to be identical
to the original Rodinal, I need to try it as I like yours and Martin's results!

Rodinal is an excellent developer for tonalities, unless one is searching for super fine details, in which case I would recommend Tmax with compatible film.

Katastrofo, i'm using Fomadon R09 actually, which is the same as Rodinal. Same forumula, same dev times, Foma branded since Agfa ceased the production : )

The original Agfa Rodinal is also available, as well, but quanitites are limited . If you want some , let me know.

Nice tonality, sharpness and compositions. How do you find grain? With Delta 100 in Agfa R09 1+25 I've had quite coarse (for what I usually like) result. How do you like Foma papers? I think they're quite good for the price, I'm using Glossy Fomaspeed RC.

Cheers, M.

Hi Marty

The grain was very light, but still present. By now i've pushed film until 1600 iso, which is 2 stops ( original 400 iso Ilford Pan ), and surprisingly the grain was discreet ! I think it has to do with the inversion method, cause now i'm only stirring.

Foma paper is a bit more contrasted that the previous i used which was Ilford RC Pearl.

cheers : )

Simon, I've tried Foma's R09, I didn't get your results, but they weren't
that bad, either. Hummm, will try it again or the Adonal. Thanks.
