@Sven: I set it on bulb and use a remote shutter release. Didn't really count the time, but I'd say exposure around 2-4 secs, f8-16, depending on brightness you want the fireworks to be. I just mostly pressed the button when I saw the rocket shooting up, then let it go about 2 secs after the explosion, give or take. Its mostly luck though, since you have no idea what the firework will look like!
