This is one of four lenses I received yesterday. The others are Meyer Orestegor 200mm Zebra; Kashimura Dianon 200mm; and another Vivitar Series 1 200mm f/3, which will be for sale. I've only had time to take out the Volna. It's a P-Six lens for which I have an adapter. Today was a very rainy day with poor light. I noticed that shooting through the heavy rain definitely affected the sharpness. Nevertheless, here are two from today. I'll take more and share if it seems people are interested.

Rain or not these images are great, I never manage to take decent photos in weather like this, I think I end up trying to make them look like they were taken in sunny weather instead of going with the natural mood of the light and colours. I like these a lot and it seems to be a great lens _________________ - Dave

Can you tell us the name of the trees ? |
The tree is the Southern live oak, the quintessential tree of the deep south. Limbs often grow out horizontally on larger trees and sometimes even dip to the ground and go up again. There is a prized live oak tree nearby where I live which is estimated to be as old as 1500 years. Unlike other oak trees, the leaves stay green year long. _________________ Regards,

We have Live Oaks here too,and the Spanish Moss also. Nice shots with the weather.
We've had 2 days of rain. The only way you could go out shooting here is with a weatherproof camera. _________________

Yes, as Walter said, Spanish moss. It seems every well established live oak has it and the moss has become part of the look. It grows on more than just live oak trees. Here is what it looks like up close:

I really like the looks of it!
Very nice images!
The Volna is a fascinating lens. It can produce some funny bokeh highlights, though. _________________ Personal forum activity on pause every now and again (due to job obligations)!
