I like the 4 and the last one .The last one because it comes from a camera supposed to give poor results in High ISo : OLY EPL-1 !!!! has some noise , but there is a lot of detail !
4. is Pentax K-X ....WOW !
1. is Sony Alpha 900
2. is EOS 7D

Pentax K-x is still the best buy
EPL-1 seems like the best mirrorless. I guess these are from jpegs which are usually poor with Sony and excellent with Olympus?
G12... awful! |

thanks for posting this. i think the results are indeed surprising, but in any test like this, i think its also important to knw what the sttings were on each camera. to give quick example, my x100 is super at 3200 at normal sharpness and noise reduction settings. if you 'up' sharpness stting or 'lower' noise setting, results are much less than optimal. my guess is that each camera has 'optimal' settings for high iso. tbh, i love my ep2 but i cant get 3200 results like this at the settings i use. in fact i cant get results like this at 800! so selfishly, i really wanna know what the settings were! _________________ Epson RD1 + Elmarit 21/2.8; Summarit 50/1.5; Summarit 75/2.5; Elmar-c 90/4; Sankyo Komura 135/2.8, Hektor 135/4.5; Braun Paxina 29 6x6; Photax Boyer Paris; Holga 120 Pano

Yes, there are from jpegs . I confess I am amazed of the Olympus result (ok, a little noise) : better detail than the nex , that I use and like !
The nikon is very good also , but Pentax rocks !
It's a shame that there are so little choices for MF in P-K mount _________________ Cheers , Teo

This is exactly why I don't shoot JPG. The Nex is miles better in RAW, for example. _________________ Graham - Moderator

Didn't know about that Sorry !
Ok , everyone knows where the files come from .It was a simpler way to discuss a problem than posting links . _________________ Cheers , Teo
