[EDIT]
I cropped them even more, as Orio suggested.
[EDIT]

"Shot" yesterday afternoon in my garden with 5D MkII and Canon EF 70-200 F4 L IS USM. It was about 15 meters from me.
Last shot with the addition of a x1.4 TeleConverter.

They are "heavily" cropped.

As usual, click on them to open in high quality. Wink

Nice pics!

We have one that visits. You must also have an ants' nest.

Yes.
We have a lot of ants (too much).
He is welcome and I hope he will come back. Smile

Excellent catch!
Does it have a name?

Nice captures Olivier!

Why not frame the bird only? (leaving out the grass I mean)
Images would look better in my opinion, more intense.

These are very nice images and despite of the heavy cropping very good details. This is a very good lens.

Thank you.

@ Himself : Does it have a name ? No. If you wish I can call him Woody. Wink

Orio, I'll try to reduce grass. I didn't because I'm near 100% cropping...
[Edit] Done : I reduced grass by framing square and croping more than 100%... [Edit]

Yes, Rolf, it's a very good lens on a very good camera body with a very good 21 MPixels' sensor.

Moïra, I hope it's not the last one (of the mohawks...). Wink

Ours is also called Woody. Maybe it's the same one? Laughing

We do have a Greater Spotted woodpecker and he's called Woodston.

I know, I need help! Laughing
