The photos in this part 1 have all been taken with the Eos 5DMkII and the Contax Vario-Sonnar 28-85.
In the next days other parts will follow, that used other lenses, and also medium format velvia and provia film.

Beautiful place!
I was about to say " unbelievable, somehow you managed to travel with only one lens", but I cooled down once I read again what you said.
As a composition #5 for me please.

Edit: it was #5 not #4. Embarassed
It happens for the second time. Definitely, I have to change the glasses.

Thanks Sorin. One could spend the whole day there only photographing olives. There are so many details opportunities! If I only had the time...

One should really spend at least three days photographing in each of the five villages.

Thanks Fish, I was lucky to find a day with a lot of light changes and cloud play.
A bit too many light changes perhaps, at some point I was getting crazy because one second I measured the light, and the second after I was about to shoot and the light changed Laughing That went on for a good half an hour Rolling Eyes

I'm really jealous Orio!
But I also have a travel guide of Italy next to me Wink

You had very interesting light to play with.

Could you please make a list of the equipment you took with you?
When you have more than 10 lenses, you have to make decisions.
Decisions that are often difficult.

It must be great to spend some time there! Very nice results.

Thanks Orio - a typically stylish, elegant and informative series. Did you transport all the equipment in a truck? Very Happy Very Happy

Thanks much guys
With me I had my backpack with 5DMkII and a set of lenses that included four Contax lenses and precisely the Vario-Sonnar 28-85, Distagon 21, Distagon 28/2 (hollywood), and Vario-Sonnar 100-300, plus the Z Planar 50/1.4 and Leitz MR-Telyt-R 500/8
Then I had my Contax 645 bag with the Planar 80/2, Distagon 45/2.8 and Sonnar 2.8/140.

It didn't take a truck but at the end of the day boy I was tired! Laughing
