Every three months, I receive the catalogue of one of the most important photo shops in Italy, Il Fotoamatore.

This month, for the first time ever, since I receive it, and it means YEARS, next to the autofocus lenses of Nikon, there is a column that features three manual focus lenses with large photographs: the AI-S 105/2.5 (listed at 499 Euros), AI-S 24/2 (also 499 Euros), AI-S 135/2 (799 Euros).

On the Nikon lenses page, there are 9 photos, six of autofocus lenses and three of manual lenses.

I repeat: this has never happened before. So far, this catalogue was only full of autofocus offerings.

For me it's a clear sign of the times. And something for which I think we can claim a little part of merit to ourselves Smile

Smile Good to see my dream comes true, I made a lot of work and invest lot of money to mflenses.com to try to save these old beauties. Now good to see something is changing and I have to say without you it wasn't possible. A good busy forum can tell to the people more than a simple website only.

Hope Olympus sees the light too! I have asked them for a firmware upgrade which will support focus confirmation and IS for old manual lenses for my E-510. I am sure they can do it!

I don't beleive it, Olympus and other makers like Canon, Nikon never support it in every modell espacially in the chaep ones , they would sell their new af lenses. Russians made an Olympus AF confirmation chip what is support your camera 510 foucus confirmation and image stabilisator works perfect. Problem only site is Russian and order form too.
