I have found on Ebay, this book called "Only Zeiss - Carl Zeiss T* lens".
I was curious and I bought it.
It's a book published by Kyocera. You can find Contax name as editor on the front cover, and Kyocera name as editor on the back cover.
The book is not a scientific one. It is a promo book, destined to clients and fans.
Still it's cute.
There is a section dedicated to the Contax SLR lenses, two pages each lens. Not all lenses are present, some are missing, some important ones too like the Planar 2/135. But obviously this book was printed in a given moment in time, and we know that the Contax catalogue was not fixed, lenses came in and out periodically.
After the lens section, there is an historical section, a section dedicated to difficult shooting situations and how Contax lenses handles them (like "backlight", "low ambient light" etc.), and a section called "Navigations" (I am still left wondering why) where different photographic themes are exploited (like 'portraits', 'snapshots', 'closeup') etc.
Overall a fun book, but adding nothing new in terms of knowledge.
It's a good item for collectors, as it's my understanding that not many pieces of this book were printed.
Text is in both Japanese and English.
Here's some photos I took of it:

Sorry Orio. The left side one is the second book, the right one is the first
of this series. Their ISBN numbers are

1) ISBN4-907745-01-X ... 11 lenses and their samples ... 1999-Mar-20
2) ISBN4-907745-02-8 ... 13 lenses and their samples ... 1999-Jul-20

Each lens has more than 10 shots, the first book contains the best of ZEISS
lenses for Contax series. At the end of book the author describes each lens'
character and totally different subjects of course related to the photography.

Publisher: Kougei-Sousaku Co. Ltd. (or Kabushiki-gaisha)
Author: Atsuo Orito (professional photographer in Japan)

His family name is very close to "Orio". Cool

No english are used in these books unfortunately.

By the way, the seller of the book is this one:

http://stores.ebay.it/AWSCOACH-Collectibles

He has lots of Contax collectibles and a reliable seller, I recommend him.
