I tried to get it to the developer but it now seems a losing battle. It needs to get there by noon Dec. 30, 2010. Fastest I could get it there is 3 day delivery. I emailed them pleading my case but I feel that will be futile.
Is there any other way of getting Kodachrome developed? I have 3 rolls. |

Someone is really thinking about doing that:

Check it out.

This sounds exciting, but even if they can sort all the processing out and be able to replicate it at a good quality level (because one thing is to develop a Kodachrome, and another to develop it well), the whole project is still bound to be short lived unless some producer decides to produce new Kodachrome film. The current stocks of K film, how long will it last? One year? Maybe two... but then? _________________ Orio, Administrator

That's what I'm afraid of besides what Big Yellow might have to say about.
That said if you read among the last posts popped out some info on the structure of the film itself. I won't hold my breath but someone might be crazy (in a good sense, don't get me wrong) enough to think of start coating a comparable version.

Thanks for the link, Marty. That thread was an interesting read. It does appear there just may be hope. Even to the point of having fresh film stocks produced. They'll get my support. _________________ Michael
