Hi guys,

long time no see! Wedding preparations got me away from the internet and my photo work for some time! But hey what a better excuse than marry your loved!

So now here I am, still not married (18th Sep) but with some new pics with my latest purchases.

I shot myself a pack of two Nikkors on eBay. Both non Ai but Aied. They are the Nikkor-H 85mm f1.8 and the Nikkor-P Auto 180mm f2.8. The pair cost me 90€, so I can live with the stuck aperture and wrong smallest f-stop (due to wrong Ai-conversion by the foreowner) of the 180mm. The 85 works flawlessly and comes rarely of the camera.

So here are some pics! All of the 180s are wide open because I can't stop down!

First of the pics with the 180mm:

And now here come the pictures from the 85mm:

f1.8

f1.8

f1.8, kind of swirly Bokeh:

f4, this thing is sharp!

And finally f4, inside our houses stairway:

Hope you enjoy!

I can get Nikkor H 85/1.8 for 150€ from a local guy... lens is in mint condition with factory AI kit conversion and still I think it's too much Smile

Hi NikonD,

150€ is a good price for a mint Nikkor-H with factory conversion!

All the manual 85mm 1.8s go for around 150-200€ at the moment!

Mine was a steel but it's used and abused!

The 85 f2 goes for around 100€ usually but I would spend the extra on the 1.8 H because of the unmatched mechanical quality of the old Non Ai Nikkors! Full metal jacket!!! Very Happy

You now have the option of Zeiss ZF for Nikon.
Full metal jacket indeed. A bit more expensive, though Laughing
