last Thursday I made an afternoon tour on the hills of the Apennines of Reggio Emilia, around Canossa. There are many castles in that area, some of them of big historical importance.
I took with me the Canon 5D MkII with a set of assorted Zeiss lenses.
The light was very difficult: strong, sometimes harsh, and often lighting my subjects from the back. And VERY hazy. So I was demanded to give my (limited) best to take home the shots.

Nos. 5, 13, 16, 22 and 30 are best for me. Topography reminds me of central Mexico and eastern Tennessee. Also, the haze does not bother me. It is part of the geography, too. So why not capture it? Very Happy

No, it's the MM. But I had problem focusing it the other day. It's difficult to focus well a 25mm lens through the viewfinder, and the live view was unuseable, because of the strong daylight. I think I have missed the correct focus in at least a couple of shots.
In such bright daylight one should really use a tripod and a black cloth like large format photographers.

***and beautiful weather. ***

Well I thought many of the VG landscapes shots were ruined by heat, dust, polution, or whatever haze...maybe a polariser might have cut thru the haze.

Excellent series Orio!
That 15mm doesn't cease to amaze me.
How did you put the focal length into the EXIF?

Orio is "doing a Canossa". Wink

What an amazing area!! Great photos. The clouds show the difficult (if not impossible) photographic situation.

Since when have you had a Zeiss 3.5/15?? Wow!

Beginning of this year... I could not use it as much as I wanted.
It's an amazing lens.
