I think it says, in effect, Warning! Do not tread on us!

What say you?

I can read Latin, but I don't understand it. Laughing
(Just kidding. I learned Latin at school, but have forgotten most of it.)

I'd say the inscription means: " Don't touch me."

EDIT: Ops, Arkku was faster. I didn't know, though, that it is a saying.

Si tacuisses (... philosophus fuisses) Orio! No need to start that again...

Klaus, there is one thing in my message, called "smilie" and it's there to make it obvious it's a joke. It's the second time that I have to remark you that, you seem to always miss it.

Oh ho, Orio, I knew it in that regard, but I am sure it has no gospel connotation for the fellow who owns/rents that building. I suspect a hard-line right-winger. Isn't it odd he used "Logo," too? Crossed bamboo shafts and a cow skull, too?
Perhaps the sign painter meant to use the Greek word "logos," which has any number of meanings, including the Christian usage as the divine Word, and the stuff that makes up the universe.
I think I need to re-shoot that picture with Portra, and not overexpose it this time ...

In that case, sorry - but you did not put any smilie there to help with the understanding. And since it's the second time you publicly reproach me on a similar subject...

I just remembered that weird building is next to a good-sized Baptist church. Maybe the church youth group uses the building and got permission to "decorate." On the left wall is a huge red and white bullseye target.
Strange ...

Yeah, but how does anyone know it is correct? Wink

Well, the writing 'makes sense', that's how.

Of course correct pronunciation is another matter entirely, very likely impossible.

If it's in latin, it's easy for latin origin people.
