Grazie.

gatto smarrito - gatto disperso - gatto perso

I apologize for private use of this forum. My cat Attila is lost Sad and I hope this way that someone can help me.

Hopefully it will come back.
Once it gets back buy a collar and a GPS transmitter( it's very small), that way you'd be in full control of it's whereabouts.

He will not come back, I am sure Sad He never left the house before for longer than a couple of hours.
GPS transmitter? I read about them for dogs, I didn't know they make them for cats. Do you know of an online place that sells them?

I did that immediately Attila, and a lot more of them. I also put them in the mailboxes. I talked to a lot of people. I broadcast an announcement on the local television. But nothing. I and Monica are convinced that the workers who work nearby have kidnapped him.

Thank you. They are only for dogs. But they say they are working on a cat version. So I hope they can release one soon, that I will use for Melissa.

Sorry to hear Orio! Crying or Very sad

Does he have a micro chip, implant from the vet? (not GPS) It's very useful to find the owner when a cat is found by the animal shelter or brought to the vet by another person.

To encourage you, a friend's cat that had disappeared has been found after 3 weeks by a neighbour that recognized him on a print.

Hi Orio,

I join the colleagues wishing it comes back soon.
I lost my two cats in a move and know what you feel.

Kind regards.

Jes.

Thanks guys.
I lost my father in 2007, so I should have the proportions clear between the sorrow when you lose a father and when you lose only a cat.
Yet, Monica can not have children so the cat is a child for us, and we feel to him the typical parental worries about not having been able to protect him enough, etc.. plus the pain of not knowing what did actually happen to him, and where is he now. And the fact of course that we miss his everyday happy presence, and the fact that he is so young. The whole makes a mix of emotions that is stronger than what I would expect for just an animal. Sad

Some istincts still remain even when neutered and it's love season for cats (at least for the ones who live near my studio). I don't see why workers would have kidnapped him as it doesn't seem to have any value, affective one excluded. At least it doesn't seem that he had an unpleasant meeting with a car other way you would already have known it, so there's a huge chance that he is still alive.

I always had dogs so I know which kind of fondness one can feel for a pet, I'm so sorry for you but I bet that all things will solve for better.

There are reports of cat remains having been found in the trash in the last years. And of many cats disappeared, recently. Part is because of local hunters, who place traps for wild rabbits etc. and they also catch cats. But there are reports of a particular population of immigrants (I will not name it here) who would be used to eat cats, it would be normal for them. And my cat unfortunately did not have a collar at his neck, he lost it, so if found it could have been mistaken for a stray cat.
Black cats are also the target of idiot satanist groups, and there are at least one active in this area, last year they made a raid in the countryside cemeteries and churches along the via Francigena, where they did steal several things, including the woodden cross that was on my father's grave.
Finally, black cats are also believed to bring bad luck when crossing the road, and so maybe he crossed the road of a truck of the workers and they did kill him to kill the bad luck. Yes such barbarians people still exist here.

Thanks, I hope you're right, but knowing how my cat was (always in the house, always around me) I really doubt it.
