Norman Model 250 Group 450 Studio Lights. I have the oportunity to buy a set.It seems complete. All bulbs are there, the instructions, carrying case, and stands.

I did not test them yet.So I don't know if the power supply / control unit works. He is going to bring the stands next week and set a price.
I will test them then.

I have a few questions. I won't be using these professionally. They will be for my own use.

1)When were they made?

2)Is a unit this old still usable, or not worth the trouble?

3) Can you still get bulbs for it?

Any info at all you can give me would be appreicated.

I use portable 250 + 400 types and that stuff is made to last. The Xenon bulbs are easy to replace (2nd source, works very well) and not expensive.

Here the link to their site (yes, they still are alive!!) http://normanlights.com/index.asp and here the site with manuals:

Klaus, Thank You. Very Happy Very Happy

If the price is right and they work. I will get them.
Hopefully the controller checks out okay.

It would be nice, for a change, to have the right equipment. Laughing

Are traditional tungsten bulbs still legal in the EU?
I thought they were outlawed, but perhaps this is only in Italy.
