wow, looks really great. its the same 1937 voightlander bessa as mine? i have it for several months (w/ one rooll of HP5) and still dont have time to shoot with it, maybe you inspired me .

My homebrew and TMAX seem to get along just fine. This is the new type
TMAX, but seems to respond the same as the old one, which was the first
roll I developed with the homebrew. Metered at ISO 320 for these.

ok. anyway, you have really impressive results with your 73years old bessa. i only can imagine, how beautiful will this pictures looks on barite-based paper with strong gradation thru hi-quality magnifier lens (and also ladies are pretty ).

Bob, Fish, and Paul, thanks for your comments. I am 6 shots short of
5 rolls of 35mm I have to go through, I'll be finishing the one roll plus
more this coming Saturday of the girls. I'm going to concentrate on
completing Becky's portfolio, first, since she's 20.

Martin, spleenone, and Ron, thanks. The girls like the shots just fine. I
highly recommend this easily made developer, responds especially well
to TriX, TMAX, Acros, and Foma films. Can't use it to push, tho. Also does
very well with Efke/Adox films. Used the white vinegar stop again, too.

I forgot to process this shot which was take 2 on the first. I think it is
exposed better, and better focus:



Would like to know if you prefer this one over the first, or neither.

hi Bill, I prefer the first one, mainly because of the different DOF, which gives more relevance to the foreground.
Partly also because it's a bit denser (darker) which is more pleasing to my eye, and because I like the face expression of the dark haired girl better.

Thanks, folks, I guess it's unanimous, then. I do like Becky's (girl on the
left) expression (per Orio, too) in the first. The photo reminds me of something
out of the 40's. I got too greedy with shadows and highlights on this 2nd pic,
wanted to make sure their faces were illuminated more.

I redid the exposure on this, and it is very close to what I got with the
straight scan:
