Awaiting a 20mm F4 Nikkor

I am awaiting delivery of a 20mm F4 Ai mount Nikkor...Has a small scratch on the front element, but I got the lens for $35 + $5 shipping...Anyone here have this lens & what are your observations?

Someone on another group that I moderate posted that this lens & a few others were going for good prices on a Craigslist listing out of St Louis (USA)...I emailed the guy & he still had it (5 days after posting the ad (surprised me that he still had it)..Got to emailing with him & now awaiting the lens!

People are silly enough about scratches, this is great for us.

I have 20mm f2.8 which is provide best 35mm performance from all my lenses. I expect same from your 20mm f4.

Rockwell's positive review was a conditional one; he had 2 samples, one was a dog. Another reviewer, http://www.momentcorp.com/review/nikon_20mm_f4_review.html went through 3 copies before he found a good one. Seems like a lens with much sample to sample variation. The unpleasant though authoritative Bjorn Rorslett wasn't overwhelmed by it either.
On the positive side, it was the preferred landscape lens of the late Galen Rowell, noted nature photographer.
