Square is a very nice format, but most of us get the usual 2/3 or 3/4 out of the cam.
Cropping the image can lead to another impression.
So post your cropped to square (about to be square) images here.

Let's have fun and crop. Very Happy

I love using square. It is one of the benifits of the 5Dii.
Plenty of resolution to crop and still have quality.

Just started testing this lens.
From yesterday Sonnar Takumar 2/58 not the sharpest but lovely rendering for delicate subjects

Beautiful work, all of you! Wow!

Andy, I like the delicacy of the Blue Camas. It is one of my favorite
flowers. It's almost a rarity in the wild, now. I understand that, in the
1800s, the Blue Camas was prevalent in the northeast Olympic
peninsula, growing on the plains that were there from the scoured
effects of the Ice Age.

Thanks Larry I was just fooling around in this frame but, the flowers are lovely, I like them also.
The Rocky cliffs around Fidalgo and other San Juan Islands are in full bloom with them now.
As you know they did take a heavy blow for some time. Areas have been restricted to help them recover.
The bulbs were a staple Carbohydrate of the indigenous people here.
Nice to see the Camas returning Very Happy

Fine shots, and a good idea for a thread.

Here is my contribution taken with a Nikkor SC 1.4/50. Not sqare from the start, but I think it actually benefited from the crop.

Almond blossom with S-M-C Takumar 1.8/55. They're so delicate and only last a few days. I wanted a completely blue sky background but I couldn't avoid the trees in the distance and still see the upper side of the blossoms. I'll use a step ladder next year Smile

The b/w portrait fits very well into the square frame.
Beautiful catch.
