Hi.

Nice colors and contrast. I like the bokeh too. But I don't see high resolution like I hoped with the zeiss lens. Perhaps my monitor or my old eyes. Laughing

If the lens was used at F/4, the resolution is OK. That class of lenses usually has the best performance near of F/5,6-8 and not improved with small apertures. But I don't know with your zeiss.

Nice 3D.

Rino.

1:1 magnification. Maximum aperture.

Please consider it was a dull and rainy morning, overcast sky.

Nice Orio.

At first I looked for the fly. Then I realized what you meant.

Yes! Very Happy
Such a lovely masterpiece of lens. I prefer it over the MC version.

Actually, Rino, I have quite some good lenses in my arsenal, but this 4/135 fights in detail with lenses costing a lot more. It ìs low contrast compared to today lenses, that's for sure, and maybe this is why it fells for you with less detail.
Let me optimize the contrast of the picture and add a little sharpening (original crop was not sharpened):

P.S. yes, it was wide open, and I agree with you: what 3D in the whole image!

Nice bokeh, but not the type I was expecting. It looks like the modern Samyang to me a little.

hi Martin, judge bokeh on the whole picture (not the last crop which is sharpened).
Yes, old Zeiss, and Sonnar especially, have a much smoother bokeh than the Contax lenses.

Nice, nice, nice. Great lens !!!!

I like it more than like the 3,5/135 CZJ -both-

3 D? I feel that can put my hand between the plne of focus and the background.

Rino.

Old Sonnar renders really nicely on the new FF cameras.
Good samples, Orio.

Regards.
