Velvia and Provia - Spring Tulips

I've been busy as heck lately, working on the Cassini-Huygens
Saturn Equinox mission. It's been wonderful, and I feel so lucky to
be a part of this mission, even in a small way. The images coming back
from the rings of Saturn are magnificent and humbling.

I haven't been out with the cameras much, but I did get to shoot some
local tulips, which is always a lot of fun. I'm hoping to get caught up with
all of the recent postings and images on here.

Scanning the 35mm transparencies is certainly not as easy as with
medium format transparencies, but these did pretty well for me, after
some setting changes on the scanner.

I should have delivery of a right-angle viewer soon, so that I don't have
to wallow in the wet grass and mud so much! Razz

wow laurence that sounds like a wonderful experience; once in a lifetime really!

always enjoy your pictures, in fact it was your medium format shots that were a major factor in my going out and getting a pentacon 6. it's being cla'd right now, but i bought 1 roll each of velvia and provia to try out.

it seems from your shots the major difference is the greater saturation from the velvia?

Thanks rbelyell, I am gratified that some of my medium format images
would inspire you to go with that format as well. The Pentacon 6 is going
to be WONDERFUL for you, especially after a CLA. I look forward to your
images, and as you get more and more familiar with the vagaries of your
system, I'm betting your images will be spectacular. That extra film area
of medium format truly makes a big difference in the look of a print, and
even the look of an image on the web.

Thanks Attila! Like I indicated, my presence in the project is small, but
gratifying.

Thank you Orio! I also acquired some images of one of your favorites,
the Bleeding Hearts (Dicentra spectabilis). Were you ever able to plant
some of these beautiful flowers?

I just noticed your avatar. While there was no mistaking the beautiful
curves of femininity, I thought at first it was a tattooed torso, but it looks
now like a form-fitting skirt or dress, correct? In any case, very nice in
both color AND form.

No, there is not much room in my garden anymore, unfortunately Sad

Yes, correct for the form fitting dress Very Happy The background shapes and the dress colours were good for a contemporary art painting, rationalistic style, that was the intent, to mimick one, of course not pretending to be one, in fact I left the skin of the legs in, exactly for that reason.
Human body can create beautiful abstract shapes Smile

Martin, fish, Klaus, and Carlsson: THANK YOU for your nice remarks.
I surely love the CV90 lens. It's still hard to believe this was a gift
from a forum member. Believe me, I always think of this member
when I'm mounting the lens to my camera.
