I take it that is the modern version of the Elmar 50/2.8? The original remains my favorite of all the lenses I've ever owned ...

Yes, this is the last version of the Elmar.

Congrats for the new camera and case!
I also wrote to Luigi for a case for my camera, but he seems to be a very difficult person to talk with. And the fact that he is a declared fan of Berlusconi does not really create empathy for me Rolling Eyes

Orio I talk with him without any problem. He replies all my emails very quickly...

He told me that he has so much work to do that sometimes he can't check his emails on time but I can't say anything about it...
