Bakewell, Derbyshire. As well as the bridge, I liked the different shades of green of the trees. There is a duck in there somewhere! Smile

Hey, that's cheating! Wink These birds are named in English the Bean Goose, Anser fabalis. They breed in Northern Sweden, Norway, Finland and Russia in the summer and visit western and central Europe in the winter. In Britain we only see them in winter near the coast of the most eastern part, East Anglia.

Next home, there is a small river that ends to the sea. That's the place some ducks have decided to stay and not to go further to the south in winter...

Best regards,
Jes.

Very Happy

I copied the text from a book. I've never seen this bird before and I thought it was interesting, but it doesn't make sense does it, they've obviously been at it recently! Ah, this must be the very rare Lesser Spotted Bean Goose that breeds only in Denmark. Smile

Actually Attila, I recall reading a thread on another board where a member bemoaned the vast (in his mind's eye anyway....) quantities of duck and cat images posted on various boards.

Apparently IIRC they weren't "artistic" enough for his eclectic tastes....

I say you can't beat a good duck....

I shot this in the last days while trying out the Planar 100:

Now that I posted it, I noticed that it should be better cropped just a little above the blueish roof. But I'm too lazy/busy to redo.
