Hey guys.
So I read a lot about the Super Takumars (I have an 85 mm f/1.9), but what about the NON-Takumar lenses? I just bought a lens that reads "SMC Pentax 1:1.4/50mm" in a Pentax mount, and while I've been getting great images out of the lens, I don't know a whole lot about it.
Anything you can tell me about the lens? How does it stack up next to the Super Takumars? |
Basically, the SMC Pentax 1:1.4/50 (I guess the "mm" isn't really there) is optically 100% the same as the S-M-C Takumar 1:1.4/50. Many SMC Pentax lenses (not those with the -M suffix) are carried over from the last S-M-C Takumar line of lenses. So you can expect top notch quality. _________________ Peter - Moderator
