Hi,

I was reading Macro Cavina (what a huge deposit of work!) on Nikkor 35mm ais 1.4 and was wondering if there are comprehensive review/comparison of the various 35mm 1.4, including sharpness and bokeh wide open at 1.4 (since I already have the nikkor 35mm f2), contrast, resistance to flare, etc.

I have in mind the nikkor, nokton, distagon, and summilux, am I missing something else worth considering?

In general, where can these types of comprehensive reivew/comparison be found?

Thanks.

maybe better to search samples on the net
pics of charts and walls are not representative
btw total waste to use such lenses with a crop or m4:3
a 2.8 will probably be better on full frame than a 1.4 on crop

I saw a comparison of Distagon 1.4/35 and Summilux 1.4/35 once.
The Distagon was clearly superior wide open.
I think it will be difficult to find such comprehensive comparisons because these are expensive (in the case of Summilux, very expensive) lenses, and it's unlikely that one person may own all of them to make a comparison.

I don't have the link, sorry. I searched for that page but I was not able to retrieve it. I also lost another great page this way, that made comparison between Flektogon 4/20 Flektogon 2.8/20 and Distagon 2.8/21.
I should get the habit to download the whole such pages in case they go off line.
