I couldn't resist to try out this 'monster'..

It's still awaiting to be converted but I was able to take some pics with it..

I just put it in front of the camera and after some shots there was a recovery of my hand needed Smile

This shot is 400 ISO, handheld, 1/250 s and .... fully open ...
at minimum focusing distance --

This lens has fluorite element (the front glass) to eliminate some aberration:

Camera 5D Mk II and some LightRooming' a little bit Smile

thank you all, guys! Smile

some more examples --

each shot was a torture! Smile
1-focusing
2-attaching the lens to the cam
3-and again and again Smile -- good exercise

it's a famous lens, I think -- well, this has been improved in next generation but this was the famous Canon's tele..

yes -- I fully agree --
Canon + wide = no!!!
Canon + tele = yes!!!

I don't know why but simply wide angles are not Canon's good product Sad

Stunning lense.
Can this FD can be converted to EOS ?

yes -- this will be converted - I hope soon..

This version has aperture ring in the middle -- so there is not replacement linkage necessary when replacing the mount ..
