I have seen the original size, and based on that and on my experience with the lens, I would say yes it's probably wide open, or in any case certainly not slower than f/5.6

As a pre-set lens, usually I leave it with the maximum range available then stop down after focusing 'til it looks "right" for depth of field and usable shutter speed.On this occasion with the bright sun I generally leave it on 5.6 (f4 maximum available) and just focus and shoot. There's not many of my lenses I can use wide open! |
