Today, I took this lens out... Some how, I am missing focus with lens... I am not able to understand... I am doing front focusing with this lens.. But I think issues is related to stability of lens and my face because of the weight & DoF... As my lens focusing ring is tight, I am not able to get very stable grip.. What I am thinking, moving the lens after focusing to compose the scene, is moving the plane by an inch..

This is a result of on point focus (targeted point, the leaf)..

Takumar 200mm f3.5 preset, captured wide open f3.5

The lens is really gem.. but heavy...

Nice photographic idea!
If you accept a couple of suggestions:

- I would cut out some of the fence at right, the first three elements at right, so that the composition is de-centred (which adds dynamism). To further balance, I would also cut some fence at the bottom.

- normally I am against cloning out form photographs parts that are not simple noise, but in this case I would make an exception and clone out the shadows, which detract from the impact. The leaf alone would be much more powerful.

I will try to do (the changes as you suggested) first optically. As this is captured just outside home, I am sure, I will be able to find almost same composition later too... For shadow, I will try to get on some cloudy mid-day... Columbus is really bad with sun light (one of the minimum sunny day city in office), I am hoping to get that too (without shadow)..
