Last weekend, visited Smoky mountains national park, beautiful range...
But on that day, there was (atleast our drive) lot of fog/clouds/smoke, that was making all the captures with very low dynamic range... I focussed on capturing the layers in nature instead of details. (In camera, I found out.. the most of scenes had half of dynamic range of digital sensor).

details was not aim... There was no contrast worth seeing.. forget about capture.. I wanted to capture the mood...

The whole smokies was like singing the song.. Closing your eyes, and could hear the Red Indians song... a place worth visiting...
But the problem is entering.. Outside the National Park.. you will find the extreme form of commercialization.. name any shopping chain.. and multiply by 5.. The traffic was really bad.. from highway to park.. was like 2+ hours of drive to cover 20 miles... But inside.. just like any other National park of US... I love US national parks...

(all are captured around f9) (You can browse the bigger version by clicking on this pics)

My fav,
(captured with Jupiter-9 85mm f2)

J-9 85mm f2:

CZJ Flek 35mm f2.4

Nikon Series E 100mm f2.8

Thanks for viewing...

Very good captures as always! Looks like a story book illustration.

Thanks Attila for kind words.. and yes, Silver J-9 (mine is rangefinder lens converted to M42 mount) wins hands down to any modern lens.. much better than Nikon 100mm f2.8.. in terms of feeling it generates in the captures... (lucky us.. own this beauty)

Yes it is an own Silver J-9 is better feeling than any latest lenses and don't forget old Russians are made on Zeiss machineries by Zeiss people right after the war. From that age a genuine Sonnar is $$$$$. So for a little amount you able to use a "Zeiss Sonnar".

Nicely evocative, thanks. Isn't that 100E from nikon a blast? No consumer lens should be so good.

Thanks..
Yes, Nikon 100/2.8 is one of the best consumer lens... great for portrait to these landscapes... one fo the most under rated lens... I think Series E bug off the people.. and treasure hunters like are happy with a situation...

I'm not really in the mood for watching pictures, but I make an exception for these Ballu, they are very inspired, congratulations.

Thanks Orio.. The serenity of nature helps in (over) coming out from the deep but void thoughts...

Nice shots!.
I love the nice color degradation from one plane to the next. I've never seen too many together before. On local landscapes we use to get three as much, but there were seven in yours!. Wonderful place!
Best regards,
Jes.
