Nice series. At least those hail-stones were small enough not to damage anything. One and a half year ago, there was a very heavy hailstorm in my area, with hailstones the size of river pebbles. Many cars and glass roofs were damaged beyond repair...

Do you live in a high (and cold) area?

Hi Olivier, nice series. Weather seems indeed not very well at the moment.

With regard to Peter´s comment, about 20 years ago in Germany (mainly in the south area around Munich) was a very heavy hailstrom. The newspaper showed pics of the hailstones - they had the size of hen´s eggs.

The insurance companies have had installed ambulatory offices where the car owners got a check for their damaged cars. Years later you could sometimes see cars with 40, 50 or more dents on it. The owner picked the money but didnt´repair the cars.

Was one of the largest insured losses in Germany.

Yes, I do agree that those hailstones are quite small.
they didn't damage anything but our trees' leaves

After 3 stormy days, plenty of water everywhere, I'm astonished to see that flowers are still in our gardens...
Nature is really strong.

We had a hailstorm a few years ago which left my old car pockmarked and but still functional. Our younger son suggested that this made the car more aerodynamic - like a golf ball.

This is a photo I took two years ago, sorry it was not taken by DSLR but a point and shoot and run camera

I was walking home and saw this coming with hail and rain, immediately took this picture and turned around to run back into the house. Fortunately it did not turned out to be a tornado

Not in Indy, but for me it's always Miller time.

Miller racing cars (I'm not related) were once very common in the Indy 500. Examples are on display in the museum at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway.
