For sale:

new version Contax G to microFourThirds
This version is the 2nd version of the Contax G to microFourThirds, and is not the same as the one Jinfinance is selling.

According to my supplier this version supports more ContaxG lenses than the 1st version. I do not have any ContaxG lenses, so i cannot verify this.

Price (till 31 December 2009): Eur80 (including postage)

Please pm me if you are interested.

Can you help check with your supplier which lens does this adapter support?

There are only 7 G lenses if I am not mistaken so it should be quite easy for them to confirm if they have the lenses.
The 16, 21,28,35,45,90 and the zoom 35-70.

No, I don´t think so. Below you will see the Jinfinance adapter with the Biogon 28mm lens. As you can see a part of the rear lens and the 2 metal parts on the right and left side looks over the mount.

So the problem is not the adapter - the problem is the remaining space within the cam. This rear lens and the metal parts have there not enough space.

The only way you can solve this problem is to make the adapter thicker to get more space for the lens within the cam. But I´m sure that you then will lose infinity etc.

But I don´t own the 16mm and 21 mm and the zoom, so I have at the moment no idea of the rear lens and the metal parts there.

According to other reports, it might be possible to remove these rear protector tabs. YMMV as to whether the results will be worth damaging a first class lens - reports on using other rangefinder wides with MFT cameras were less than enthusiastic, usually they are not telecentric enough to be compatible with digital sensors, and vignette strongly.

From the samples I have viewed online the point may be mute when it comes to using the wide lenses from the G system on m4/3.

Symmetrical lenses (Biogon is such) and RF wides in general do not seem to perform well on this sensor. The edges looked smeared in sharpness and color.

Retro-focus schemes seem to do better as do the native lenses.

Its' fantastic to be able to use the Planars and Sonnar (Ernostar actually) from the Contax G system on the m4/3 cameras.

As we have seen with either 4/3 system all along. The native system lenses are the only true choice for wide angle photography.

Crop cameras not made for wide angle photography. Use slide+legacy camera systems.

Everybody with the possiblity to spend about 500 USD should consider to get one G body and one of the G lenses.
It's fantastic cameras that you can take anywhere as they're lightweight and sturdy and can really fit in pockets. And they use what are amongst the very best lenses available for small format photography. I mean the G lenses are on top there together with the best Leica M lenses - at a fraction of the Leica M prices.

The fact that now you can use some of the G lenses on 4/3 is an added bonus.
