Now I have a Velvia 50 in one, and a TMAX 100 (B&W) in another, and I can change them in and out as I like Very Happy

Excellent! do you have to remember to change the ASA on the camera?

This is what digital cameras are supposed to behave. Very Happy Very Happy

The closest one is Leica's DMR back, newer Ricoh cameras are
not so, since they are packaged with sensor and lens. Dah.

Actually, no! And that's the coolest part, with the Contax 645, you set the ISO on each film back, independently!

Removable film backs are well-loved by zone system practitioners: N-, N and N+, the more the merrier...

But then I use sheet films, even easier Laughing

Same with Mamiya 645 series. I have two and switch between B&W and color. Very cool!
