We have had snow, frost, cold, rain, wind and hail in the past two weeks. So imagine my surprise when I passed the rose garden near me and saw flowers. So I shot a few of these poor survivors (pruning should really have been done already).

Really nice shots patrick. Im jealous of both your ability and the fact that you have roses while im looking at over 4 months of black&white!

Patrick, all these are really NICE. But the third image of the white
rose, with its stratigraphic features and texture, is over the top! I like
the idea that you imaged the rose without trying to "prune" any of
the dying parts of the flower; rather, you imaged in its most natural
state.

GREAT resolution, and simply a fine diversion from the gray skies.

Very good, Patrick. My roses have bloomed too. I think it's in their DNA to bloom this time.

Really sharp, Patrickh.

My roses also come back.
I have rose, white and yellow ones. Quite surprising 4 weeks before Xmas.
At the moment, we have a lot of rain in northern France, but no cold weather, no snow, no freezing.

Ít really feels like spring here strange enough and I see quite some flowers all over - nature gets a bit out of whack unfortunately...

Great shots Patrick, love 'em!!

Thank you all for the kind words. I was amazed to see these flowers after the early signs of winter we have been living through these past two weeks. Roses are far more hardy than I ever gave them credit for
