Anyone have any suggestions as to where to begin to look to fix it? Are there any known problem areas? The shutter ,film advance and all other functions seem to be working fine. At worst, I can still use it with a hand held meter. ...Now I have two cameras to replace seals on as I was given a Pentax ME Super with a 50mm F2 lens recently as well, although the meter works well on that one.

erm have you switched it on? Switch on base plate

- dirty connections in the meter switch (if so, clean them)
You'd have to remove the bottom plate to check both (2 or 3 screws).
I believe the battery holder is removable with 2 or 3 more screws
(it's been a while since I've worked on one) to check for the
wire connection there.
If it's not one of the above then it's likely the meter itself. If so, it
would have to be replaced (from another SRT). You'd have to
pull the top cover to so that.
Note that the bottom plate must be re-attached before checking the
meter because of the switch.

Also, please note that cameras are easy to mess up when you start
disassembling them and you may make the matter worse by doing so.  |
