BTW, I have been advised not to use the Nimh by the Nikon service center here. But on the other hand the net is full of reports of people using these with no flipside whatsoever. I personally use the NiCd rechargeables (though the availability is dwindling). You cannot use rechargeables with the MB20 grip if you use one. _________________ Camera: 35mm SLR: Nikon F4s, Nikon FG, FE2, FM2n, FA; Pentax K1000, Spotmatic II, MZ60; Exakta Varex IIb, Olympus OM1n;

The only thing wrong about Eneloops is that the meter on the battery holder does not show anything meaningful on them - depending on whether you switch the display to NiCd or Alkaline, they deplete very suddenly only two or three films after the display switches to half full, or they get flagged empty within the first film after insertion. I settle for the former and recharge ASAP when they are supposedly half full. Lithium AAs are even worse in their discharge pattern, so they are no solution - if you want an accurate display, you'll have to use old-style low capacity alkalines (or NiCd if you still can get them legally).

Yes act as light meter as I do with Konica cameras and use folders. _________________ -------------------------------

It shouldn't take more than a day or two to get to you, unless it's on its' way to you via a 3-legged, blind, arthritic 103 year-old mule, walking backwards while towing a bus-full of pie-eating contestants... _________________ Dann Fassnacht
