Another shot of Chloe from an outdoor 'retro' series taken with a Series E 70-210. f4 at about 85-90mm FL. Natural light with no fill - quite heavily cropped from a larger frame.

And the colour version of course.

I prefer the b&w version, the color one have a strange hair tint

Beautiful portrait and pose, I also vote for the B&W version.

Very pleasing indeed - I also prefer the BW version.

Never used that particular Series E lens, but I once had a 35/2.5 and 100/2.8 and they were both excellent. Vastly under-rated range of lenses, I think.

Hi Stephen,
Yes, the Series E lenses are very under-rated as you suggest. They were supposed to be 'consumer' versions of Nikon's AI/AIS pro grade lenses at the time but as we all know, Nikon didn't make many poor quality lenses and Series E lenses are mostly excellent but overshadowed by the AI/S ranges.
I also use a Series E 75-150 and it's a cracker but I do like the results from the 70-210, even if I don't use it that much!
