Hi,

if you like here 3 other pictures (sorry - no cars Wink )

During the following 30 years I was very often due to business at Prague but had unfortunately no time to visit this places again. Would be a good idea to do this in the near future to look what has changed.

Thanks for viewing and your comments.

That is correct. Look at your beautiful city - it is the best sample.

Anyway - there was a special feeling during this time too and at Budapest was a very special flair - better than in a lot of other main cities Wink

Nice shots. Prague is such a great city. I have been there three times, last time in 2002 or so. I liked it a lot.

Rolf, I've enjoyed your Prague series and want to thank you for sharing!
Such grand old buildings, something that is nearly nonexistent here in
America, most parts, at least.

Great photos, with real ´70 normalization atmosphere... I work in Prague, I can try to take photos on the same places for comparsion.

Normalization is term for era after august 1968 in Czechoslovakia.

I have missed this thread. Luckily it surfaced again so I could see it.
What to say, fantastic photos. Slides colour TOP NOTCH, what a great atmosphere. I also love the compositions, especially the roofs picture.

Great work!

I vote the roofs picture as one of the best that have been published in the galleries this year.

Your roof picture made me immediately think of Picasso.
That's one photo that stands well above the standards.

I had a look and my shots are of a different place, but if I am right just around the corner from Rolf's first picture, I think the shots he took are near the Waldstein Palace, between there and the Mala Stranska metro station. I'll post them anyway for comparison, though they were taken with auto focus lenses and his shots are much better!
