I was wondering if anyone has used the above brand lenses and if
they are any good. I'm looking at this auction:

If I remember well, they were buying thirdy party uncoated lenses and coating them.

Thanks, Sorin,

I guess it would pay to know who the 3rd party is and if the coatings
are any good. This will probably go for cheap, but I don't want to end
up with a paperweight...

Looks more like Vivitar or Tokina lens branded as 28mm.

The seller has a great feedback story so it will be ok and you should not worry, but as a general guideline, I'd always ask to see a photo of the lens without the UV filter on. Else it's impossible to really see how is the lens glass.

Rebranded lense do not have to be bad, just because they are rebranded.
I have a Greens London 3,5/135 and it is just great. That was a real surprise for me!

If I were you, I would got for it if I could get it for a reasonable price and then decide to keep it or sell it again.

Thanks, fellas, I think I'll give it a shot. I won't be going much over the
opening bid, though.
