It's all about experimentation and practice, though!
The helicoid knocks off about 2 stops from the exposure value. It is
nice, because it links with the aperture priority program. I do like the
soft rendition of the out of focus areas, and so I have hopes that
it might be a useful tool.

An interesting point on the subalpine meadows and Velvia - several
years ago I took a friend up to the high country because he hadn't
visited before.
He had commented on some of my images being "oversaturated",
but I had done nothing to the saturation...he was totally surprised
when we got up into the flowers and greens and said to the effect:
"Larry, I see what you mean!"
The flowers are early this year because our snow pack melted
quickly in this fantastic sunny weather we've had over the past 6 weeks.
Anyway, in keeping with the "Tiger Lily" theme, here is another
scan. There are a few problems in the scanning, with specks and
areas that have artifacts, and even a little "noise", but overall I'm
pleased with the scanning.
Pentax 645

No post-production work other than a small crop and very small
amount of Unsharp Mask - 24/1/0
