Cinque Terre

Just returned from Italy I am still processing (and post processing )the information and pictures trying to select the best from this trip .
For this post I'd like to share a few images from Cinque Terre , on the west coast of Italy north of La Spezia , south of Portofino. It's an area wich preserve a rural caracter . Vineyards and villages suspended over the coast and descending towards the sea offer spectacular panoramas invaded by tourists in the summer.
You don't find here casinos,rich villas and fancy hotels as in the Amalfi coast .It's different and has the charm of the simple life of the fishermen and peasants.
I'd loved to stay and shoot in the dusk , but the shedule allowed only daytime photos.

First and 4th shots are the best of the group. The first is just an amazing sweeping view of the town. The 4th show has great colors and the boats are just the icing on the cake.

Good series. I prefer the photos where you did not post-process the colours.

The 24 mm on APS-C is a verey useful, versatile focal length all day long I used only this lens ,it was very convenient (the classic 35mm on film) here are some more :

Most of this you will never see anymore. At least, not in this shape and form.
So you have been lucky to have gone there and see the place before it becomes something different.
