Not a well reputated lens, I took this high key portrair of my daugther a couple of days ago, with the Pentax *istDS:

Not an outstanding lens, but funny to use.

Regards,

Jes.

I think it's exquisite! The low contrast in BW really works with the background. Well done, Jes!

(Beautiful daughter! )

Thanks, colleagues!.

Here another shot of the same session:

I like more and more the B&W for portraits.
I was lucky enough to be able to shot her a few takes, usually she refuses to be photographed...

Regards,

Jes.

Jes, really beautiful portraits, some of your best pictures (I think you have a talent for portrait, I remember those other photos you made with the model) and also beautiful daughter, it's really a shame that she doesn't like to be pictured.

I like the idea of your compositions - having objects in front to make the image more informal and spontaneous.

I agree with you on the BW for portraits: BW portraits rock!

Thanks Poilu and Orio for your comments!.

Getting rid of colour helps in concentrating in the person's character.

Jes.
