The second one for me Smile That's exactly the type of scenery what I like. And very well captured.

I don't like to travel but Scotland is on my list of "places to see before I die" ... along with Ireland and Scandinavia.

Great to see this. I lived in Banffshire for five years and the Hebrides for three, so it takes me back. Great shots, especially the lochs.

enchanting scenery as always Smile

What aperture did you shoot the Dist 25 at in the last photo?

Thanks guys.

@ Orio: I can't be certain but I think it may have been f16 for as much DOF as possible and to give me a fairly slow shutter speed for the water without having to use an ND.

I guessed so. I asked because I noticed that the tree in the foreground gets the focus point, but the rest of the landscape is also focused, so it had to be a similar aperture.
I think that perhaps the f/16 aperture has caused a bit of diffraction, as the vegetation in the distance seems a bit softer than the Distagon 25 usually delivers (but it could also be the resize effect as the detail is tiny).
A gorgeous image anyway.

Thanks again Orio.

I haven't looked at the original but I suspect you're probably right about the diffraction and with hindsight I would have been likely better off shooting at f8 with an ND for a little more distance sharpness.

Regarding the D25 itself, I can't understand how this lens has such an allegedly poor reputation as I've never failed to be impressed with what it does. Then again, maybe that says something about my standards, or lack of them... Laughing
