poilu, the #3 [portrait] is the "one" of the film [ trains are beautiful all the time Cool ], so I agree with djmike.

In the first two, the light is too strong [ Summer, in the middle of the day].

That MLW sure looks different from their domestic North American stuff! I guess lower clearances force styling changes for export products. I like getting railfans in my pics too.

Trains run and hide when I'm next to the tracks with a camera! I shot this with a cheap zoom about two years ago. A pair of one month old SD70M-2 northbound across the St. Sebastian River. Albinar 80-200/3.9 lens on Canon A-1, color print film.

#3 (the two men portrait) looks WOW to me. It really renders the atmosphere and the lighting is perfect.

I also like #5 the portrait of your son. Very well captured.
