The tone on the first two is gorgeous, and the outdoor shots confirm what a talented lens this is.

wow! that's nice squares, I hope you will continue to make those nice portraits after you will get the 5DII with 25000 iso

@ Nesster, the lens is talented indeed and thank you, the first two is my favorite too.

@poilu, 5dii is in a box on my desk right now. Very Happy, but I "play" with zorki 4 right now. Laughing

I' ll never stop shooting film, so portraits like the first two will be continued in the future.

Digital can't give the film's "silky" results yet. Sky is always better on film. I see many digital photos with "extraterrestrial" colors in the net, I don't like it BUT I can't stay back anymore.

Excellent work, Magnet-2009! How did you get them to stand still for one
second? Smile

Sure, understand, I mean the people you were taking a picture of. Tripod
wouldn't help if they move. Smile

Sorry, you are right.

They have past a hard training program. Cool

I work like the old road photographers, those with the large format cameras and I talk loud and clear. Laughing

These are really nice. I like the portraits too and wondering of the same question. How did you get the people not move for 1 sec for the exposure?

Just talk loud and clear.

I recommend to begin like that: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1C-Bxifv2Pk

Magnet, I can only see the first picture - the others seem dead links

About the first picture:
Both the subject and the beautiful camera-lens set would have deserved a better lighting I think. It's ok to hate flash, I do also Laughing but you should use another continuous light source to make up.
With the lighting as it is, the result is not good - also a more close framing to the people would have helped. I hope you will forgive me for the sincerity! - I have seen your previous pictures in the other threads and you can do a lot more better than this!

Orio, your opinion is appreciated.

To be honest, I am "fresh" here and I am already tired to read positive messages for the 98% of the uploads.

I don't upload my best shots. Look at the fd samples, I could upload only the third one.

I feel that there are here members with high level photography knowledge.

Personally I "beg" for negative messages but I would like a solution to be described clearly.

Everybody learns from his mistakes and "difficulties make us stronger".

We all love mf lenses but the better way is to use them perfectly.

Thank you very much for your reply.

EDIT: Your message is the one that makes me stay here. Very Happy
