Fantastic image quality, congratulations!!
I'm not a fan of Ektar colour but the definition is superbe.
Planar 1.7/50 and Distagon 2.8/28 with 167MT are the perfect travelers setup. Small like a rangefinder (well, almost) and very powerful.
If only the Ektar could have the colours of the Fuji Superia, it would be the perfect film. _________________ Orio, Administrator

Hi Ron
I use to scan roll with dslr for speed but those are from my polaroid slide scanner
I have problem to get good Ektar colors with dslr scan
the polaroid is also better because it doesn't have the IR filter who eat small details and with the small grain, Ektar can get stronger sharpened
with fuji (except Reala) the dslr method give quite good results
me2 Bill, seems we have the same artistic brain _________________ T* |

here is a scan of Superia with noise reduction.
it is not directly comparable with the ektar as it was next day more sunny
the nice with film is that you can change the sensor very easily

About the grain, i had a roll of superia 400 developed with very low grain, of course the print makes difference from an image seen on the screen.
Film grain is very different than digital noise, i have prints from both digital and film high iso samples but film always looks better on this side.
