Hi, new kid in town and my first posting from Greece. I am proud to be member of mflenses forum.... Wink

I have got the fever of mflenses. I own an A1 + 5D body and a JUPITER 37A, FLEKTOGON 35 2.4 MC and a " Bokeh manster" +24-70L.

I use the mflenses only with the A1, I like to work with the split focus screen.

In advance, I do a research for a good m42 to eos adapter to work very well [no infinity+mirror problems] on the body and lenses I have in mind to buy, a 5dii+ flek 20/4+pancolar 50 1.8 mc [+ the lens mentioned above], if a solution doesn't exist, I' ll keep the money in my pocket.
Laughing

Question:

Is attila931's adapter the solution?

Click here to see on Ebay <= this link works well only in the preview mode.......help!!!!!

It is mentioned that the adapter has been checked by the members of the forum...

Second[too many questions for a new member Laughing ] : I would appreciate giving me a link [in this forum] where you have discussed about a good split focus screen for the 5dii. I think that the use of a good split screen is the best way to achieve the perfect focus.

Thank you all in advance !!!!!

welcome!
your links will work as soon a moderator will fix it (anti spam)
I don't think m42 adapter have infinity problem on the Canon.
Difference exist in the flange that can block the auto switch but that depends on the lens
The easiest way to obtain perfect focus on the 5DII is liveview.
I use the Canon screen EE-S on my 40D, no split but it does the job perfectly
Here is a post who deal with lenses compatibility on the 5DII

So, Egs may be the right choice on 5dii, the live view unfortunately works for non moving objects and requires the use of tripod [macro, landscape work...only]

Thanks for the reply.

@Attila, Nice to be here....

Cool

The Mflenses M42 to EOS is a good adapter, and do a search for some reviews.

I have focus split screen available for most popular DSLR, including 5D and 5Dmark2.

I may have just been lucky but I have 3 adapters all off Ebay one with the auto pin all less than a fiver and all work fine so be careful that you don't get ripped off by claims of so called Premium products that are just expensive
