Picked up this lens from an ebay seller willing to deal.
This model was made in a very short run in LTM.
It is quite Rare and usually expensive but, not necessarily heavily sought after.
The lens itself has incredible build quality. Like nothing I have seen so far.
The barrel sections have zero tolerance between each other. Focus is smooth and aperture clicks positively but with ease.
The lens is not collimated correctly. It has a fair bit of back focus issue and I could not get infinity correct today.
This could be from the L-M adapter I have. Sometimes they can be quite finicky to mate a lens and adapter.
All that said I did get a few sample shots at the beach.
Mostly posed Portraits with my people and daaaggzz.

I like the way it looks. I think this one will live on one of my LTM film bodies and shoot B+W mostly. It saturates quite heavily and sort of in a sausage fingers way.
Quite contrasty for it's time but does not render fine details well.
I suppose I should wait until I can focus it more accurately to say that.
These are all with R D1 and shot between f4-f16 mostly at 5.6.

Past infinity Rolling Eyes

Two grandmothers and three grandchildren. Hugo is already a little circus trickster I like the pastel 3D of this shot.

Found Art Object.

hi Andy
nice photos. Yes I can see that the focus falls wrong regularly.
I hope that you can fix it, side from that the results are very pleasing for colour tones, although I suspect that this has a lot to do with the quality of the R-D1.

Very nice lens and fine results. I'm sure the focus issues should be curable by modding /matching that adaptor to that lens and leaving it there then...

Congrats, nice find!

Cheers,
