I also prefer the solid OOF quality of the distagon - the vivitar bokeh seems to me a bit too dizzy at times.

The key difference is, that most of the Vivitar shots were taken in sunglight, but the Distagon shots were taken i shadow. The only 2 comparable are the shots with the old trung with polyporus.

Most of them were taken with helicoids at 30-60mm and quite slow shutter speed (1/30-1/80s) hand-held, so sharpness is not sometimes at that level I'd like.

Here are 100% crops of Distagon and Vivitar, but I wouldn't base any conclustion on the basis of them - shutter speed was is too slow (1/30-1/40) and my hands too shaky Embarassed
