I saw the recent pictures from a Meyer Gorlitz Orestor 100 2.8 and was so impressed that I went and found one .

It came today after almost a month’s wait from Greece:

Here is the result!

F5.6, 1/60th, ASA 800, No sharpening, 100%, cropped a bit, no color tweaking.

Very sweet portrait, Jules. The lighting is perfect.
I think you will be happy with this lens. I never had it, but Attila took some great portraits with it.

Sweet lens, sweet girl, and OUTSTANDING photographer. This has GOT to be a shot that makes you proud! It's really really wonderful. Wow!

Thanks so very much guys.

It was available light, one window, on a very cloudy day. That's why I had to push the ASA so hard, but it paid off. The lens is the real winner here, I love the way it handles low light color, plus ~100mm seems a very good portrait lens for a 1.6 crop sensor.

Her intense expression comes from the math homework schoolwork she was doing Laughing

Cheers

Delicate portrait!

The Orestor 100/2.8 is my preferred lens (and the Lydith 30/3.5).
